Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of baskr (“baskr”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use baskr.

The service

baskr is a tool for logging care of exotic animals and receiving health scores and plain-language coaching generated from your data. Features and limits may change over time.

Not veterinary advice

baskr is not a veterinarian and does not provide veterinary or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Health scores and AI pointers are informational guidance based on the data you enter and may be incomplete or wrong. Always use your own judgement and consult an experienced keeper or a qualified exotics veterinarian for any health concern, and in any emergency. You are solely responsible for the care and welfare of your animals.

Your account

• You must provide an accurate email and keep your account secure.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use baskr.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe others' rights using baskr.
• Attempt to access data belonging to other households or users.
• Disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its AI features.
• Upload content you don't have the right to upload.

Your content

You keep ownership of the data and content you add to baskr. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process it so we can provide the service to you (including sending relevant parts to our AI provider to generate your results). You're responsible for your content and for having the rights to it.

Plans and billing

• baskr offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan.
• Pro is billed annually through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Unless stated otherwise or required by law, payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Prices may change; we'll give notice before a change affects you.

AI output

AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied on as fact or as professional advice. You are responsible for how you act on it. See “Not veterinary advice” above.

Availability

We work to keep baskr available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything critical (you can export your data at any time).

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, baskr and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any harm to animals, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using baskr and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
